"When I think of the Pointe Shoe, I think of dancing that is very ethereal, that is super human. As a ballet dancer, I tell my dancers and students all the time that you are presenting a heightened version of yourself. You're doing things that you don't normally do when you're just walking down the street, and you're able to express your emotions even further. And I think the Pointe Shoe is a tool or should be used as a tool to really run with that idea of it being a bigger, more larger than life version of yourself."
