Cartier Williams is one of the premier tap dancers in the world. From Washington D.C., he began dancing at four when his grandmother, Audrey Williams, taught him his first tap steps. At six, Williams won the Apollo Kids competition becoming the youngest Apollo Theater Legends inductee, then starred in the Kennedy Center Honors.
He performed for Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush, and starred in the international tour of “Footnotes,” alongside legendary hoofers Buster Brown and Jimmy Slyde.
At 12, Williams starred in the international tour of “Bring In ‘Da Noise, Bring In ‘Da Funk,” with Savion Glover.
He kicked off Paris Fashion Week 2020 dancing in Virgil Abloh’s Off White show.
Williams has appeared with major orchestras including New York City Pops, the Philadelphia Pops, and the San Diego Symphony.
Films include “Tales of Poe” and Spike Lee’s “Bamboozled”
He is featured on WestSideGun’s latest album, “Pray for Paris.”
