Nexus Lab

For Virtual Incubation

Creativity Anywhere

DLNY adapted the Lab Cycle model into a digital platform called Nexus Lab – where choreographic incubation and technology intersect. Designed to support choreographers who may live or work outside NYC, each dancemaker in a Nexus Lab is provided one week of structured creative time with a company of professional dancers, a rehearsal director, and support from the DLNY staff — all via Zoom.

Our residencies provide dancemakers with:
• a salary
• a company of professional dancers
• a digital platform
• a rehearsal director
• artist-led administrative support
• digital assets
• structured time for incubation
• zero pressure to produce finished product
